Some Simple Items to Make Sure Your Home Inspection Goes Smooth

- Make sure utilities are on

- Pilot lights are lit

- Replace expired light bulbs

- Ensure ceiling fans are working

- Change batteries in smoke detectors

- Clear obstructions around furnace, water heater, and electrical panels

- Ensure access to the attic and crawl space are clear

- Remove brush and debris from exterior inspection points

- Remove or cage pets

- Leave keys to any out buildings or access points where required

- Plan on the inspection lasting 4 hours

- Consider having a pre-inspection to repair items before the buyers inspection.
